This was the fourth time that I participated in the Corte Madera show. The shows keep getting better & better. Perhaps my perception was skewed by the fact that my 1962 MGA 1600 Mk II won the People’s Choice Best British award. The competition was stiff with some 25 beautiful examples of British automobiles. The weather was perfect for the 100 cars on display, not counting motorcycles & EV’s.

My MGA sandwiched between Kim's handsome 1971 Land Rover & a beautifully restored Jaguar. Michael Scherotter decided to paint the MG.

Kim met me near my house & followed me on the back roads to Corte Madera. I was on the downside of the 101 overpass when I realized he was no longer in my rear view mirror. His Land Rover's engine had stopped at the top of the overpass. After MacGyvering it with a weed wacker thread, that clever Kim had handy, he was soon parked next to me at the show.

Follow the purple arrow to find the MGA.

Four of my bicycling group, the Old Spokes, had cars on display.

M & M's in the cockpit of Kim's Land Rover.

Other Old Spokes showed up to visit.

Too bad I didn't realize that my FujiFilm X 30 had slipped into the wrong setting over exposing this photo.

More British competitioin; Andy's Jag. E type.

The red Capri, reflected in the BSA motorcycle, was in the British section. We thought it was American, made by Ford's Mercury division. But no, they were first made in Europe; this one in the U.K.

The girl in the blue jeans wanted a project; the VW Beetle EV conversion. She gave up after not too long with her dad taking over.

What's wrong with this picture?

And this one?

And this one?

From the back.

And the plaid interior.

This Chevy Malibu was in the Nordstrom parking lot across the street from the car show.lot.
